What is sanding?

We can understand sanding word for word. “Sand” is the treatment: the surface of the part is carefully cut by using consumables. The “polish” is the finish: the flat and smooth effect that the part has after the treatment.

Flat sanding

Flat sanding is a sanding process for flat furniture and wood without any surface finish. Flat sanding can be carried out directly with a belt sander. Shaped sanding

Shaped sanding is mainly aimed at furniture with predominantly shaped surfaces, such as wooden doors, chair legs, stair risers etc. Because of the large number of concave and convex surfaces, the sanding process becomes even more important. If the sanding process is not mature, problems of over-sanding or missed sanding can occur.
